●   Your speech and language therapist must be registered with CORU – this is the regulating body for speech and language therapists. They ensure that your  speech and language therapist has the correct qualifications

●   Your Speech and Language Therapist may need to assess your speech and language skills when you first meet

●  This will provide an idea of your strengths and weaknesses

●   He/she will then talk with you about ways to improve the areas of speech  and language that you find difficult

●   You and your Speech and Language Therapist will make targets for therapy (if needed)

●   Your speech and language therapy sessions will work on your specific needs
